Establishing an Automated External Defibrillator program is the key to help prevent death from sudden cardiac arrest in your company.

There are a few key things to consider when implementing your program.

Site Assessment

The most critical factor to consider when implementing a program is AED placement.  Cardiac arrest survival is heavily dependent on the response time of the first responders.

The setting, be it a high-rise building, manufacturing plant, golf course, hotel, or school can pose challenges with regarding to determining optimal placement.  It is critical that first responders can access the AED and return to the the victim in as short as time period as possible.  Preferably, not more than 4 - 6 minutes.
