Response Team Training

One of the most important

components of every AED program

is the training.  Effective training

not only teaches skills and how

to use supplies and equipment, it

helps instill confidence in the

First Responders who could

potenially be managing a medical

emregency.

We work with companies, churches,

schools, and government entities to

help ensure the success of this

life-saving program. 

Course components and combinations can be customized as appropriate for

your organization.  Our standard curriculum for First Response Team Members includes the follwing components:

• Heart Saver AED, a comprehensive course for the First Responder, is designed to teach CPR, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) to all lay rescuers.   This class is particularly designed for those who are expected to respond to emergencies in a workplace or school.  This class covers Adult, Child, and Infant emergencies.  
  

• First Aid teaches first responders to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive.  This course provides training on first aid, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies.
  

First Aid topics include: 

Bleeding

Burns

Sprains & Strains

Allergic Reactions

Medical Emergencies

Heat & Cold Emergencies

Other specific topics of interest can be included upon request.

 

• Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) includes information that will help students understand risks of exposure and how to reduce them for themselves and others.  The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.10.0) (One year certification issued upon completion)
